Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Training Programme
RPL – Type 1
The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)-Type 1 project in the sports sector aims to certify the skills and expertise of informal and non-formal sports workers, coaches, and trainers. By providing formal recognition, RPL-Type 1 training enhances their employability, career prospects, and livelihood opportunities.
From 2019 to 2020, we enrolled 891 candidates, trained 891, and successfully certified 638 candidates.


RPL – Type 1
The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Type 1 project in the Paint & Coating Sector aims to certify the skills and expertise of experienced workers in painting, coating, and related trades. By providing formal recognition, RPL-Type 1 enhances their employability, career prospects, and livelihood opportunities, while promoting quality and excellence in the paint and coating industry.
From 2019 to 2020, we successfully trained 500 candidates and certified 455 candidates.
RPL – Type 1
The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Type 1 project in the Rubber Sector aims to certify the skills and expertise of experienced workers in rubber manufacturing, processing, and related trades. By providing formal recognition, RPL-Type 1 enhances their employability, career prospects, and livelihood opportunities, while promoting quality and excellence in the rubber industry.
From 2020 to 2021, we enrolled 164 candidates, trained 164, and successfully certified 56 candidates.


RPL - Type 4
The RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) – Type 4 project, implemented in the Media & Entertainment Sector, aims to recognize and certify the skills and experiences of informal sector workers. By providing formal recognition and certification, the project enables workers to enhance their career prospects, increase their earning potential, and access better job opportunities in the media and entertainment industry.
From 2019 to 2020, we targeted 50,000 candidates and successfully certified 48,459 candidates.
RPL - Type 4
The RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) – Type 4 project, implemented in the Sports Sector, aims to recognize and certify the skills and experiences of sports professionals, coaches, and support staff. By providing formal recognition and certification, the project enables sports personnel to enhance their career prospects, increase their credibility, and access better opportunities within the sports industry.
From 2019 to 2020, we trained 17,991 candidates and successfully certified 17,742 candidates.


RPL - Type 4
The RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) – Type 4 project, implemented by the Food Industry Capacity & Skill Initiative (FICSI), aims to recognize and certify the skills and experiences of informal sector workers in the food industry. By providing formal recognition and certification, the project enhances the career prospects and employability of food industry workers, improves food safety and quality standards, and contributes to the growth of the Indian food industry.
From 2020 to 2021, we targeted 1,999 candidates and successfully certified 1,939 candidates.
Adarsh Gram Skill Camp
Under this project, skill camps are organized in adopted villages (Adarsh Grams) to provide training in various vocational skills, entrepreneurship development, and soft skills. By fostering skill development and self-employment opportunities, the project aims to transform the lives of rural youth, promote inclusive growth, and create model villages. Sponsored by the Paint & Coating sector, this initiative ran from 2021 to 2022.
In this project, we successfully trained 125 candidates and placed all of them in various roles.


PMKVY-GKRA RPL
The Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan (GKRA) was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 20th June 2020, with a mission to address the challenges faced by returnee migrant workers to their home States. On the lines of the GKRA, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has undertaken demand driven skilling / orientation under Centrally Sponsored and Centrally Managed (CSCM) component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 2016-2020.
During this period, we targeted 1321 candidates, certified 1152 Candidates.
